About Us
Charleston Sail was established by Paul Mitchell and MJ Oexmann in August 2012, shortly after completing an 800 mile ocean voyage under sail to Bermuda from Charleston. Now that was an adventure of a lifetime. As a result we became enthusiastic sailors who dedicated themselves to enabling people of all ages to venture out, albeit on a smaller scale. So relax, sip on a glass of your favorite tipple and have fun cruising around our smooth harbor waters.
Our 2.5 hour charters commence in the mornings, afternoon and early evening for sunsets. There is free parking and easy access to the Ripley Light Y.C. where the boat is docked. Please note that there will be certain times each day when a low tide obliges us to alter the advertised departure time by a few hours. We appreciate your flexibility in this regard. All sailings may be customized and extended to suit your needs e.g. sailing lessons, marriage proposal, honeymoon, photo shoot, anniversary / birthday event or a swim.
